El petrolier Leni P amb 274,39 metres d\u2019eslora i 48,03 metres de m\u00e0nega i amb capacitat de c\u00e0rrega de 158.000 tones \u00e9s una de les operatives m\u00e9s grans que el pantal\u00e0 d\u2019ASESA hagi tingut des de la seva entrada en funcionament.\r\n\r\nEl petrolier va descarregar \u00a024.800 tones de cru que van servir\u00a0 per subministrar mat\u00e8ria prima a la nostra planta d\u2019elaboraci\u00f3 de betum asf\u00e0ltic i altres derivats.\r\n\r\nEl vaixell va fer una desc\u00e0rrega parcial pr\u00e8via en un altre port, ja que el calat al pantal\u00e0 d\u2019ASESA hauria estat insuficient per atracar-lo totalment carregat. Les grans dimensions del LENI P equivalen gaireb\u00e9 a les dimensions m\u00e0ximes dels vaixells que poden acollir les instal\u2022lacions del Port de Tarragona, formades per un pantal\u00e0 amb 3 punts d'atracada, entre ells, una plataforma P-100, amb 4 bra\u00e7os de c\u00e0rrega i un calat operatiu de 14 metres.\r\n\r\nDes de la seva implantaci\u00f3 a Tarragona l'any 1965, ASESA \u00e9s un referent a nivell\u00a0 mundial de la producci\u00f3 de betum asf\u00e0ltic. En aquests moments, l\u2019empresa exporta el 80% de la seva producci\u00f3 a la resta d\u2019Europa, al nord i oest de l\u2019\u00c0frica i als Estats Units, principalment.\r\n\r\nASESA produeix 1 mili\u00f3 de tones anuals de betum asf\u00e0ltic. \u00c9s una xifra que representa gaireb\u00e9 el 50% del mercat espanyol, i m\u00e9s d'un 5% de la producci\u00f3 europea.\r\n\r\nLa companyia est\u00e0 realitzant inversions per valor de 30M\u20ac, previstes dins del seu Pla Estrat\u00e8gic 2016-2020, amb l'objectiu de renovar, realitzar millores i noves instal\u2022lacions a la planta de Tarragona.\r\n\r\nLes caracter\u00edstiques del Leni P (eslora 274,39 m, m\u00e0nega 48,03m, calat m\u00e0xim 17,02 metres i GT -registre brut- de 81.509 tones) el converteix en un dels vaixells m\u00e9s grans entrats al pantal\u00e0 d'ASESA. No obstant, tot i tractar-se d\u2019una operativa excepcional no \u00e9s un cas \u00fanic, ja que en els darrers anys hi ha hagut operatives similars.\r\n\r\nL'any 2019 el RS AURORA va atracar al pantal\u00e0 d\u2019ASESA amb un GT superior 82.779 al vaixell mexic\u00e0, per\u00f2 amb una eslora m\u00e9s curta, de 274,20 m.
